Begins

22 August 2015

Ends

29 August 2015

“It is not because things are difficult that we don not dare;
It is because we do not dare that they are difficult”

Seneca

“Skala” Ecovillage invites old and new friends and whomever is interested to participate in the standard “permaculture” design of a vibrant and radical community project.

During this week we will have the opportunity with the help of  Jay Abrahams, specialist in Permaculture design and in Blue Print group, from Tamera Community in Portugal, to design together a sustainable future for our ecovillage.
Why:

“If you look outside from your living room window and you don’t see food growing,
then you’ve got a problem”

Bill Mollison

Additionally, we will have the time to get to know each other, to participate in circles, workshops and presentations, to celebrate, to study:

  • What’s needed in order to create a community project, which together with personal growth restores the feeling of the community and the connection with the earth and at the same time provides healthy and viable sources of livelihood?
  • Why do we need communities and how do they become more and more important for a sustainable future?
  • How can we pass from inspiration and enthusiasm to action?

Furthermore, during the weekend 29-30 August we are going to meet other projects of self-sufficiency and sustainability, ecological villages but also other initiatives in Greece, in order to exchange experiences and knowledge, to get to know each other and to create a network of solidarity and  mutual support.
